HRSC Press ReleasesThe spectacular views of the Martian surface are prepared by the Planetary Sciences group at the FU Berlin. The results are high resolution colour images, anaglyphs (stereo images), three dimensional landscapes and virtual flights over the planet’s surface. The raw data is processed in several steps at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The final data is the foundation for scientific research of the international HRSC Team as well as the press releases. The press releases are published simultaneously on this webpage, the webpage of ESA and those of the DLR. |
Online access of HRSC data
Since 14 March 2007 HRSC image data can be viewed and accessed online. The online interface HRSCview is a cooperation of the Department of Planetary Sciences and Remote Sensing at the Institute of Geosciences at Freie Universität Berlin and the DLR Institute for Planetary Research at German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin-Adlershof.
